Suspect In Custody For Stabbing Man In Back, Head: Baltimore Police

A 51-year-old man attempted to kill his victim during a dispute that rapidly escalated into violence in Baltimore, police say.

On Monday, a spokesperson for the Baltimore Police Department announced that Darrell Ferguson has been arrested and charged for a near-fatal stabbing during an argument last week.

Shortly before 11:15 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 11, officers from the agency were called to the 1100 block of North Bond Street, where there were reports of a 51-year-old man down suffering from stab wounds to his back and head.

The victim - whose name has not been released - reportedly got into the dispute with Ferguson, who broke out a knife and began to rapidly stab him.

He was rushed to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries and survived.

Ferguson was arrested by responding officers and charged with attempted first-degree murder. No information about his initial court appearance was released.
